In an area where volcanic rock defines the landscape, the project reinterprets that materiality in a contemporary key, integrating the site's existing stone into the design.
Architecture
The house is organized as a single horizontal volume that wraps around an original rock outcrop, turned into a central garden visible from the entrance.
Materials
Local volcanic stone, polished concrete, and large bronze-toned aluminum window frames.
Interiors
Amber and terracotta tones, contemporary Mexican-designed furniture, and skylighting in the common areas.
Outcome
An original rock garden from the site was preserved and integrated as the centerpiece of the entry sequence.
